Adrienne's One Year Checkup

Adrienne had her one year checkup on the 13th. She now weighs 20 pounds and 6 ounces and is 28and 3/4 inches long. She is in the 33rd percentile for her length and the 34th percentile for her weight. Her doctor said that she is average for her age and is progressing well. She has met or exceeded all of the milestones that she should have. She now has four teeth, two each on the top and bottom. The top two are just through and are occasionally giving her some trouble at night, but tylenol seems to help. She has a forward facing car seat in Daddy's car and will soon have one in Mommy's car. She is such a big girl!

Adrienne's Professional Pictures

On August 8, we took Adrienne to get her pictures taken. We also had some family shots done. We originally went at 10am, but Adrienne had a meltdown and we had to come back at 2pm. She did better the second time, but she appaently does not like the white background. Now we know. We did get some very cute pictures though. Enjoy!
Look at me. I am one year old!

Look closely, you can see my teeth.

Peek-a-boo!

Always talking!

Laughing!

Adrienne's Party

So I promised pictures from Adrienne's Birthday Party and then got too busy doing other things to post them. Here they are.
Getting her Grover from Uncle Bob.
DragonTales!
I'm gonna learn my ABC's.
Look at all my goodies!
Jacob even wanted to play with them.
My GIANT Elmo cake that Grammy made me.
I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to make a mess of myself.
I had to cool down and clean up in my pool.

I absolutely LOVE the dump truck that Aunt Margaret got me!

My baby girl is 1!

Today is Adrienne's first birthday! I will have more pics to post later after her party, but I wanted to show you what she got from Mommy and Daddy
This is the front (kitchen) side.

This is the back (living room) side.
It sings and does learning things. I was able to get it at half price last year after Christmas. She loves it! As you can see, Rocky enjoys it too! : )

July 4th and a cute video...

Adrienne got all prettied up for the Fourth.
My cousin Nick was home from the Marines for the weekend. Adrienne's onesie says I heart The NAC. That is the name Nick uses when he sings. Again, she has necklaces on. I may just have a girly girl. : )
This video has a little bit of everything. There is a lot of Adrienne's new favorite pasttime of jumping on the pillow. There is also some walking, talking, dancing, crawling, and hamming it up for the camera. Enjoy!

What a little troublemaker I have on my hands!

This is what happens when an infant who knows how to open the trashcan watches you throw the ads and coupons from the paper in there and she wants them. : )

Adrienne was baptized on Sunday, July 5. These are her GodParents, Dominic and Erika. She was a little fussy, but I don't know who wouldn't be with all of those strange people there staring at them. She was a really good girl at the party afterwards.

Grandma with all of her grandkids at Adrienne's party.

This is how I found her sleeping one morning. : )

Look at my pretty girl in her necklaces!

We went to the beach!

At the Beach!
In the pool.
In her tent.
Playing pool.
Swimming with Daddy.

We took Adrienne to the beach for the first time. She loved everything, but was a little unsure of the ocean. I think it was because of the constant movement. She loved the pool even though it was a little on the cold side. She was a real trooper. Especially during the long drive and with sleeping in a strange place. While we were at the beach, her first tooth broke through. She also practiced her walking quite a bit. She was getting really good.

More beach pics...

Enjoying the beach from her chair.
Safely in Mommy's arms.
Building the best sand castle ever. : )

More videos...

Here is a video of Adrienne speed crawling to get the Easter Eggs. She just wouldn't clap for me.

This is a video of Adrienne "walking" with her car. This is one of the ways that she likes to get around. She also grabs onto anything she can to pull herself up and get around. She is something. We can't leave her alone for a minute or there will inevitably be a crash.

She also likes to go into her room and play with her toys. It is amazing to watch her entertain herself. It is also quite a relief. Now we can actually get things done while she plays because she doesn't need us to entertain her. It is such a great age! I just love it!

Playing in her room.

Trouble maker

Getting into trouble in the kitchen.

Watch closely. You will see Adrienne dance to the music coming out of her car.

She loves to dance. If there is music playing, she will most likely start dancing to it.

She has recently started clapping, giving kisses, waving, and climbing the stairs. Can you say trouble maker?

Meet my new niece!

Cadence Faith Schaeffer arrived on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 5:09am. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21 inches long. Big girl!
On Sunday, Adrienne and I went to visit Matt, Retta, and Cady. Adrienne was not quite sure about another baby. We wanted to get a picture of just the two girls, but Cady wasn't very happy and Adrienne wanted to be near her mommy. This is as good as we could get.
Check out the girls coordinating outfits.

Attacking Cady in her swing.

We have plenty of matching and coordinating outfits for the girls so we will try again to get pictures of them. Keep an eye out.

10 months already!

So I haven't posted in a while. I kept meaning to, but I just didn't quite get to it.

Adrienne turned 10 months old yesterday. She has officially been out of the womb longer than she was in it now. I can't believe it. It truly seems like I was just pregnant. They really do mean it when they say time flies.

Classic Adrienne!

Playing with the Easter Eggs that Mommy doesn't dare put away.

Napping. Love the leg up!

This was my Mother's Day gift from Jeremy and Adrienne.

It says Happy Mother's Day

Love,

Adrienne

This is the picture on the vase.

Is Jeremy thoughtful or what? I just loved it. It was a perfect first Mother's Day.

Adrienne now is starting to let go of things when she is standing. She will be walking shortly. Now if only she would get some teeth. Her bottom teeth are very close, but not there yet. I am going to post some more pictures and videos in a few more posts tonight. Enjoy!
