More talking...

So shortly after I posted the last video of Adrienne talking, her talking evolved. She nows shrieks. You will see what I mean.

After I took this video, her talking changed again, she nows alternates between shrieking and cooing. She has also started trying to blow raspberries, but she just ends up spitting all over herself. She is quite entertaining.

Playing Catch Up

After a tubby. She loves her tubbies!

Well, yet again, I got busy and haven't posted in a while. Since my last post, Adrienne had her 4 month doctor's appointment. She weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz. and was 24 and 1/4 inches long. She is right on track with her growing. Her doctor said that we can start foods when she begins to consistantly rolls over. He said we should avoid starting them any earlier because that can lead to stomach problems in the future. He also said that since she is sleeping through the night and eating on a consistant schedule everyday that she doesn't need anything but breast milk yet. She gets onto her side with no problem, but doesn't really roll over yet.
After her doctor's appointment, wth bandaids on her legs where she got her shots. :(

Today, she went with me to do some Christmas shopping. She was very well behaved. She even fell asleep in the store! Jeremy actually went to State College this morning with his best friend to see a basketball game so I was so relieved that she was so good. She even pretty much put herself to sleep tonight. She is just getting so big!
She looks like she is trying to figure out why I am taking her picture again.
I put her in her seat today and she can officially sit in it now. She was so adorable. She kept throwing her toys off of the tray. She is starting to get bored with her "baby" toys so I am glad I can use the seat to make things more interesting for her. She was starting to really get tired of laying on her back to play. I can't wait until she gets her new "big baby" toys at Christmas so I can watch her figure them out. I love to watch her get excited over something. It is amazing! She is also very much in the stage where she wants everything anyone else has and when she gets something, it automatically goes to her mouth. If you have a bottle of water, she will reach for it and if she gets it, it looks like she is trying to drink from it. It is so cute!
So proud of herself for being able to sit in her chair.

A video for Grandma

My mom requested that I post a video of Adrienne. Here you go.

Thanksgiving Week

This was a slightly busy week for me and next week just proves to be even busier.
On Monday, we had bowling just like always.
On Tuesday, I had to go to three different stores to find what I wanted to get Adrienne for Christmas. I had to get it then because it was in the Toy Catalog and was only on sale through Wednesday. Needless to say, Adrienne did not really enjoy all of the getting in and out of the car. Later that night, Jeremy's mom and step-dad stopped over to bring his birthday present early since they had already bought it. Not to mention, I did laundry. What a day!
On Wednesday, I had to do my weekly grocery shopping. Normally this is not an issue, but with it being the day before Thanksgiving, the store was very busy.
On Thursday, which was obviously Thanksgiving, we ate dinner at Jeremy's mom's house and then went to Granny's for dessert. Adrienne was a perfect angel for her first Thanksgiving.

Big Smile!

Adrienne with her cousins.

Friday was an exceptionally long day. I had to be at work at 5am so I had to get up at 4am instead of my normal 5am. I definitely felt the loss of that hour. Jeremy put our Christmas tree up while I worked. Margaret watched Adrienne for us so that he could get it all done by the time I came home from my long 10 hour work day. He even put a lot of my little miscellaneous decorations up. I was rather impressed.

Our beautiful tree!
All lit up! Our mantle with our stockings.

Saturday and Sunday, I of course had to work again since I work in the wonderful world of retail. Adrienne and Jeremy had Daddy and Daughter time. Jeremy sent me pictures while I was at work of Adrienne smiling. It just made me want to come home even more.

Testing her walker out. She can't reach the floor, but enjoyed herself anyway.

Winter is coming!

So when I left for work on Friday morning, it was snowing. I told Jeremy that if there was still snow on the ground when I got home that afternoon with Adrienne, I was going to bundle her up and take her picture in it. Sure enough, it was still snowing when I came home. Adrienne was not too thrilled, but I did what I said I would.Don't worry she was plenty warm and we were only outside for the two pictures.
I am sure she was thinking that her mother was crazy at this point.

I am going to be an Aunt again!

Yep, you read it right. Matt and Retta are pregnant! They are due May 15, 2009. It has been two and a half years since I was an Aunt to a baby. I am so excited! It seems like Alycia, Brooke, and I started something. All of us had a pregnant sibling or in-law before we delivered our babies.
My poor little girl looks like a boy. There is purple in her socks though. :)

Back to the goings-on of the Hubert household. Last Sunday (11-09-08), Jeremy, Adrienne, and I went to City Island to watch Unclr Dominic (Jeremy's best friend) compete in the Harrisburg Marathon. He finished in 3 hours and 10 minutes. Good enough to qualify for the Boston Marathon! Adrienne slept the whole time we were there. She was such a good baby!
This is the pretty dress she wore to see Uncle Dominic.

Monday, we found out about Matt and Retta's pregnancy. Tuesday, Joey and Jacob were over for a visit.
Working on rolling over while on her back.

Friday, Jeremy brought flowers home to me. They are beautiful!
Yesterday, Grandma (my mom) came over and visited with Adrienne. Uncle Bob came over too. The most exciting part of yesterday was when Adrienne rolled over during her tummy time. It was awesome!

The video is a little dark, but you should be able to see her. She is wearing pink.

Today, Jeremy and I cleaned up the leaves in the yard. (He did most of the work.) He also isulated some of our windows and doors for the winter. Adrienne has had a fever today. It is very low-grade so nothing to worry about, but she seems to want to be held more. We will be monitoring her for any worrisome signs, but I am not expecting anything.

Check out what the shirt says. Couldn't be more true!

Halloween

Mommy's little pumpkin.

Jacob as Thomas.Joey as a Storm Trooper. Mommy and Adrienne. Three months old already!

So, Adrienne turned three months old this weekend. I can hardly believe it. She started sleeping downstairs in her crib Saturday night as opposed to upstairs in her pack n play in mommy and daddy's room. It was slightly emotional for me, but she did so well. She slept until 6:30am yesterday morning and I had to wake her up this morning. She is such a good sleeper! She is getting very close to starting to roll over. I guess there will be no more napping on the couch. :) On a not so great note, Adrienne and I both seem to have a little cold. I am blaming the flu shot that I got two weeks ago. I can take medicine, but it will diminish my milk supply so I am going to try to just keep my fluids up and keep drinking my tea and hope I get better. As long as I don't get worse, I am not going to worry about it. Adrienne already seems to be getting over hers. On another completely separate note, next Tuesday marks 10 years for Jeremy and I. Talk about surreal. It has been a decade. Boy am I starting to feel old. It really does not feel like it has been that long. On most days anyway. :) Here's to another 10!

Time flies...

So I haven't posted in a while. Got a little too busy. On Saturday, October 18, Adrienne, my mom, my dad, Margaret and I went to New Jersey for a surprise baby shower for Karissa. I had to miss the Penn State/Michigan game to go, but it was worth it. Penn State won, of course. :) We got to meet Alycia's baby boy, Hunter. Adrienne and Hunter are pretty much the same size even though he is two and a half months older than her. Adrienne also got to meet Aunt Wendy, who held her quite a bit. Karissa was completely shocked, especially when she saw that Alycia came all the way from Utah. It was nice to get to see family members that we don't get to see too often.

On Sunday, October 19, we went to a goodbye party for my cousin Nick. He is joining the Marines and had to report Sunday evening. He will be going to Parris Island, SC. It was very bittersweet. It was nice to see him, but sad to know that it would be the last time we could see him until at least January. Christmas won't be the same. We had him hold Adrienne even though he is not a fan of holding babies.
We miss you, Nick. Stay safe.

Yesterday, October 25, Penn State played Ohio State and won! Adrienne, of course was in her Penn State finest.

We just love dressing her up in her cute Penn State outfits!

Finally, today, October 26, I took some cute pics of Adrienne during her tummy time. She always seems to look like she is flying. :) She just gets bigger everyday. Time is flying by.

Well, I am all caught up now. Hopefully, I will stay caught up from now on. Watch for a costume post after Trick or Treat this week.

Adrienne's Doctor's Appointment

Tummy Time!

Adrienne went to the doctor yesterday to get her shots. It was horrible watching them put those needles in her poor little legs. :( On the plus side, they will keep her healthy. She is now 21 and 7/8 inches long and weighs 10lbs. 13.6 oz. She is getting so big! I had taken off of work so I could be with her in case getting the shots made her fussy. Instead of being fussy, all she did was sleep all day. She only woke up to eat and then she would go right back to sleep. A couple of the vaccines had drowsiness as a possible side effect so it wasn't anything to worry about. She was back to normal today. She spends more and more time awake now. She was awake for two hours straight today before getting fussy and taking a nap. It is so much fun just watching her. I hate to even walk away to go to the bathroom. How ridiculous is that! :)

This is her favorite thing to do, other than eat and sleep that is!

Isn't she just a pretty little princess?

Go Penn State!

Two months already!

So, Adrienne turned two months on Wednesday. She doesn't have her doctor's appointment until next Friday so I weighed her and measured her. She is about 11.5 pounds and about 22.5 inches. What a big girl! She does good at her Grammy's during the day while I work. There is nothing better then when I get there to pick her up and she smiles at me. It is awesome! She is now starting to hold things and immediately try to put them in her mouth. It doesn't matter what it is, that is where it tends to go. :) Sometimes if she is upset, I just let her hold my finger and she calms down. I will post again after her appointment next week.

Fall...

So Fall is officially here. Soon it will be time for my favorite holiday, Halloween. Yeah! I already decorated last weekend. Jeremy just kind-of rolled his eyes throughout, but I enjoyed myself. Adrienne is going to be a pumpkin. We actually got the costume as a shower gift. She obviously won't be Trick-or-Treating, but we are going to take her to our parents' houses. Hopefully Mommy will get some candy! :)
Speaking of Adrienne, she is growing well. She was eight weeks old yesterday. Time is flying! I can't believe how fast it really goes by. It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant. We will be weighing her and measuring her on Wednesday because she will be two months old. She is taking the bottle good when she is with her Grammy during the day. She drinks/eats 10-12oz. while she is there. She still sleeps through the night, waking up between 4 and 4:30 in the morning. She usually is asleep by 8:30pm every night as well. She seems to have taken to her schedule very well. I still am not a big fan of the pumping that I have to do while at work, but it is all in the name of Adrienne. Today I went to the Vitamin Shoppe to get something to boost my breast milk production. I bought two boxes of Mother's Milk tea to drink. It smells horrible! The taste is a little better, but that could be from the two teaspoons of honey that I put in it. I am supposed to drink 3-5 cups a day, but I probably won't take any to work so it will just be 2 cups a day. That shouldn't be too bad because I am pumping 9oz. a day now so I really don't need that much more. She is starting to smile and talk a lot more. She is getting too smart for her own good. When I get the camera out, she tends to just stare aimlessly most of the time instead of doing the cute thing she was doing when I went to get the camera. What a goofball! She loves to "sing" and "dance". Music generally puts a smile on her face. She also loves to go outside. She can be mid-tantrum and if you take her outside, she goes silent. It is amazing! She goes to the doctor on the 10th to get her shots. :( I will let you know how that goes.

Work...

So, I went back to work on Monday. Yeah, it sucked, but it is a necessary evil. Adrienne is spending her days with her Grammy now and she is doing well. I miss her, but doing my work keeps my mind off of it. Speaking of work, it is time to vent a little bit. No one, and I mean no one, took responsibility for running my team in my absence. This of course means that they goofed off and I came back to a mess. Shocker! I will have it cleaned up by the end of the week, but it is irritating because when I left, we were a day ahead and now we are a half day behind. And that is after busting our butts for the past three days. I know that these are little complaints in a world of problems, but it felt good to type it. Back to good things, Adrienne is such a good baby. She sleeps through the night. Well at least until 4am which is when I need to get up to feed her before work anyway. It is amazing! I can't wait until she gets to the stage when she plays and talks more. She gets to be more fun everyday.

Adrienne's Here!

Adrienne has been here for 5 and a half weeks now. I am dreading going back to work on Monday. She is so amazing to watch. There is something new everyday. She slept for 8 hours last night. Awesome! She is such a happy baby. She does have tantrums occasionally, but then again she is my child so go figure. :) Rocky is curious and tries to lick her sometimes. but he is really good with her other than that. Adrienne is getting very good at holding her head and looking around. She is very curious and determined to see what is going on.

We weighed her and measured her height on September 1st. At one month old, she weighed 9.6lbs. and was 21 inches tall. She is growing like a weed! We have had numerous people tell us that she looks like she is going to a redhead. That could explain the temper! :) She eats very well and burps very loudly. She occasionally gets gas which we try to remedy with Mylicon. Overall, we are extremely thankful that we now have this beautiful little girl to take care of. She is truely the love of our lives and we can't imagine life without her.

Before Adrienne

We were married on January 15, 2005 after 6 years of dating. We lived in an apartment up the street from my parents for a year. Then, we bought a house in January 2006. We brought Rocky home on February 15, 2006. He was quite a handful when he was a puppy. He has become quite the big brother. :) We started trying for a baby in November 2006. We discovered we were pregnant on November 27, 2007. I just felt funny for a couple days. Who knew? It was an amazing time! I loved being pregnant! I can't wait to do it again. Well, ok, I can and will but it was wonderful nonetheless. I worked until the day I delivered and wouldn't change that because it gave me a lot of time with her after she was born. I had a very uneventful preganancy with little to no discomfort other than the heartburn. I was very lucky. I woke up at 11:45pm on Thursday, July 31, 2008 soaken wet from the waist down. I changed my clothes (twice!), woke up Jeremy, took a shower and called the doctor. We got to the hospital between 1am and 1:30am. I was admitted and attached to the monitors. My blood pressure was a little high, but I blame it on being so excited. I got pitocin between 3am and 4am to help my labor progress. Then the contractions really started hurting. (Up until this point it just felt like strong cramps.) By 7am, I was ready for my epidural. However, due to the shift change taking place, I had to settle for Stadol. I do not recommend this. It makes you feel very drunk. I was able to get my epidural around 9am after about 45 minutes of very painful contractions. The epidural was wonderful! I was 10cm at 12pm. At 12:45pm I started to push. Adrienne arrived at 1:14pm. She was 7lbs. 4.7oz. and 18.5 inches.

Welcome to the Jungle!

Well, I figured I would join the party. I will add some pics and blogs shortly. Keep an eye out.
